National Sample Survery (NSS)

The National Sample Survey Organisation conducts multi subject surveys and provides a sound data base for planning and policy formulation. At present ongoing NSS 73rd round which is exclusively devoted to economic and operational characteristics unincorporated non-agriculture in manufacturing trade and other services.

The NSS unit of this Directorate participates in the Socio-Economic Survey conducted by the NSSO. The period for the field survey of 73rd round of NSS is from July 2015 to June 2016.
